Studio Frequently Asked Questions
There is no "limit" to the number of images we capture. We shoot until we think that we have captured some great things for you to choose from, then you get to look at them. If you love them, you can buy them; if you don't love them, let us take some more. We want you to love them.
Generally we allow about 30 minutes for every session. Keep in mind that every session is different. Some sessions will take more time and some less. And remember, if you don't love the ones you have to choose from, we will be happy to take more.
In order to accommodate schedules, we are happy to schedule appointments. Appointments
are offered for your convenience, and we will do our best to be available at
your appointed time. Please recognize that you may have to wait up to 30 minutes
after your scheduled time, in order for us to finish up sessions in progress.
Each package we offer includes a limited number of images or poses. If you would like
to choose more images than the package includes, there is a $5 charge per extra
image.
Additional units outside of the package price are available at the a la carte price of $17
each. If the package you have selected is a 30 unit package, additional units
are available for $10 each.
CDs are available and can include up to 12 images from your photo session. Images on CD
are monitor-quality JPEG images, are not suitable for printing and do not
include copyright release for use in other print media.
Wall portraits larger than 11x14 need to be sent to our photo-finishing facility in
Columbia, Missouri and take 2-3 weeks.
Copyright releases for image use in other print media (business cards, brochures, etc.)
are available for $75 for the first image, and $60 for additional images. Price
includes high resolution TIFF image written to a CD, one 8x10 guide print and a
written copyright release allowing use.
We are always happy to print additional images for you, but must caution that we cannot
guarantee a color match between images printed at different times. If requesting
additional images that will hang on the wall or be otherwise grouped with images
you have already received, you may want to consider ordering enough for your
whole grouping. If you are reordering and want the reordered prints to match as
closely as possible, please bring the original prints with you when you reorder,
so we can try to match color and crop.
Our intention is to archive any images you have ordered, and to keep them for at
least a year. As is the nature of all things computer-related, images do
occasionally get deleted or unintentionally misplaced. In the rare instance
where this happens, we are happy to replace them for you by reshooting more
images.
Our photo studio uses a digital camera, so that you can view your images within
minutes of completing you photo session. Your printed images are actual
photographs, printed on regular, resin-coated light sensitive photo paper, the same as if you
had them sent to a photo lab. |
